Bible Studies/Christian Education

At Trinity, we study scripture together and support families in their study of scripture at home!

Sunday Morning Adult Bible Classes
These classes meet in the school basement and in the fellowship room located off the south side of the gym following between the Sunday worship services.

Youth Bible Study
Students in grades 6 - 12 meet in the youth room for Sunday morning Bible study.

"Little Fishers" Sunday School
Little Fishers is the 4th Sunday of each month and begins after church until 11:30. During this time we have a snack, sing songs, make crafts and play games all centered around our Bible Story. Little Fishers is open to children preschool through fifth grade. (Younger children may participate with a parent or guardian present)

(Sunday morning Bible classes do not meet during the summer months)

Faith Five
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."  - Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Trinity's "Faith 5" program, initiated in the fall of 2017, is designed to support and equip parents in their Scriptural calling to be their children's first and most important teachers and examples of Christian faith and life.  "Faith 5" follows five simple steps - share, read, talk, pray, bless - which families follow every night, preferably at bedtime, in order to grow together in faith and face the challenges of everyday life.

Before beginning the program, parents receive training either at a scheduled training event at church or through a home visit and are then provided with weekly readings and suggestions for discussion, prayers, and blessings.  Each family also receives a "Read and Learn Bible" for use with younger children.
For more information on the "Faith 5," or to schedule a home visit, please contact Ruth Mackie at ruth.mackie@tlc-conklin.org or via phone/text at 507-304-3155.

Adult Bible Study
Lifelight meets Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00 pm in the foyer and Thursdays from 9:30-11:00 am in the conference room. Pastor Oswald leads both of these classes.

Junior Confirmation
Confirmation classes are offered to students in grades 5 through 8 and meet each Wednesday evening from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, September through April. Mrs. Terri Kober leads the 5th and 6th graders in a study of Bible history while Pastor Oswald's 7th and 8th-grade class is centered around an examination of Luther's Small Catechism.

Adult Information Class
In addition to confirmation classes for the youth of Trinity, Pastor Oswald also leads an adult information class that is geared especially for those who are interested in learning more about Christian doctrine from a Lutheran perspective and possibly becoming confirmed members of Trinity.

This class, Basic Bible Teaching: An Introduction to the Lutheran Faith, is offered multiple times throughout the year, generally meeting on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm and lasting 10 weeks. Each session is up to an hour and fifteen minutes in length. Current members that would enjoy reviewing what we believe and confess as Lutheran Christians are invited to join as well.
